ARB Course

ARB is a phylogenetic software package which operates using large cumulative databases which allows the user to explore phylogenetic relationships, it has tools for probe/primer design and evaluation and ARB has incorporated some of the newest and most sophisticated tree-building algorithms for both DNA and protein alignments. This course gives the participants the basics and theory behind the software to start using it in their workplaces.

FISH Course

The use of rRNA-targeted Fluorescence in situ Hybridisation (FISH) is now widely accepted as the least biased method for identifying and enumerating populations of microorganisms within a large variety of environmental samples. This course run by the AWMC will provide you with all the tools and skills needed to implement this method at your workplace.
